Sponsors Card Party

The Amissville Ladies Auxiliary is sponsoring a card party bn Thursday night May 2nd at 8 o’clock in the Amissville Fire Hall.

High score and door prizes will be. given and refreshments served.

Last Rites for

Kate Miller Wood

Graveside funeral services were held on Monday April 22 at 34)0 pm for Miss Kate Miller Wood who died April 20th at Meadowbrook Farm, Culpcpr, Va. with the Rev. John I). Divers conducting the services.

Miss Wood, who was 84 years old, was the daughter of the late Charles Wood and Mary Miller Wood of Sunny Side, Rappahannock County. She was born and grew up at Sunny Side and was buried in the family cemetery there.

For a number of years she had made her home with her sister, Mrs. Jessie W. Saunders at whose home she died. In addition to Mrs. Saunders she is survived by one brother, Aubrey M. Wood of Culpeper.
