Methodist Dedicate
New Parsonage
Dedication services for the Parsonage of the Rappahannock Charge of the Methodist church were held Sunday afternoon, before a large group of the church members and friends. The Rev. Dr. John Owens of Charlottesville. district sitperintendant commended the people on their work in building the modem red brick bungalow, and on their interest shown in financing the project With Dr. Owens, the Rev. A. D. Goodson led the responses in the ritual of the Methodist church for the dedication of the home. The Flint Hill chior sang the hymn. Happy the Home When God is There. The assembled congregation took part in the service with responsees.
Refreshments were served in the dining room, where the table was decorated with white candle and spring flowers. Those who poured punch were Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Mrs Phil Kastham, Mrs. Manuel Pullen.
About seventy-five guests visited the parsonage during the afternoon. Visiting ministers were the Rev. Albert Honaker, Arlington who Is conducting a revival meeting this week, at Flint Hill, the Rev. John Divers of Washington, the Rev. and Mrs. John Frizzell. Ir. of Washington, the Rev. and Mrs. George Bowman. Ill of Woodville. Mr W. H. Mauck. lav speaker from Front Royal was also present. There were visitors from Amissville. Willis Chapel, Spetrvville. Washington. Va. as well as Arlngton.
A program booklet with names of members of the Parsonage Club, (The members pav $1.00 each month toward the cost of the parsonage) names of others who helped to build the parsonage in any way and the service of dedication. was presented to each guests.
