Farm history was made forty years ago when mass production of the Fordson tractor was started. Up to that time tractors were too expensive for wide-scale nse. The Fordson, like the Model T Ford, was bnilt on an assembly line with the economies of mass production being passed on to farmers. The early Fordson assembly line at Dearborn, Mich., is contrasted In this picture with the modern assembly line at Highland Park, Mich., on which Ford tractors currently are built.
