Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Quaintance, Jr. were in Front Royal on Sunday to see Mrs. Clay MasofV, who is at a nursing home. The three had dinner at Belle Boyd Restaurant
Miss Peggy Pillar arrived yesterday (Wednesday) to spend a two weeks vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Pillar before returning for summer classes at Madison College in Harrisonburg.
Mrs. Frankey Menefee was a guest over the weekend of her sister, Mrs. Frank Bennett in Culpeper.
Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Coffey, Jr. and son, Frank, were supper guests on Sunday evening of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert N'ethers in Flint Hill. W. N. Rector, who has been visiting relatives in Fauquier County, returned to his home here Sunday. • Elder and Mrs. J. Harvey Daily were guests on Tuesday of Philip Burner and sisters in Luray. Recently Elder and Mrs. Daily have been notified of the illness of their brother-in-law, W. B. Barr at his home in Martinsburg. '
Elder and Mrs. J. Harvey Daily and Elder C. W. Miller attended the union meeting at the Hawksbill Primitive Baptist Church on Saturday, later going to Front Royal where they were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Moore. Elder Daily preached on Saturday night at the Happy Creek Church and made a return trip to Hawksbill to conduct the afternoon service at the meeting there. Sunday, they also were present at Front Royal for the service on Sunday morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Swindler entertained at dinner on Monday evening, having as their guests Reverend and Mrs. A. D. Goodson, Rev. Harold Thach, Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Devers, Miss Margaret Ann and Buddy Devers, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Swindler, Robert Estes and their house guest, Mrs. Ada Huff. Miss Dolly Smith, a student at Anacostia High School, and two school mates. Miss Mary Ann Cook and Miss Bonnie Lewis spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. George W. Brown.
