Inc Sperryvine Cub Scouts visited the Rappahannock News office on Thursday afternoon, January 15th. Since they had been studying about newspapers, they were interested in finding out how their local paper was printed. ;
The staff explained and aemonstrated the different processes aqd steps which are necessafy in ai'paper office, from .setting type until it finally comes off the press.
The Scouts who were present with their Den Mother, Mrs. Durden were Jack Weaver, Larry ^Connors, Roy Reeves, Billy Mundy, Bill Durden, Phil Hawkins C. E. Dodson and Douglas Guilty.

Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hall saw their grandson, Clayburn C. Kuhn <■ Jr. on the Bob Hope TV show on Friday night, January 16th. He was in tht audience at Port Lyantey, Morocco, Africa. Clayburn is stationed at the Air Base. Ben Guerir, Morocco, Africa and was pne of the Airmen who went to Port Lyantey to see the Bob Hope snow. He was also seen by several peojHc iir this Community who recognizra him.

DEER KILLED WITH
ROCK
• Mr. Simpson, driver of a Hesco gas service truck, found a dieer caught by its antlers in a woven wire ^ence near Jeffersonton recently. He was unable to free the animal, so he killed.it with a;rock and cut its throat with a penknife.
Mr. Simpson showed the deer to folks whom he was making a delivery to Miss Irva Poe’s Restauurant, Lom-Bar-Dy Lunch Room in Amissville.
The deer was an eight point buck, weighing about 125 pounds.
