Went to the supervisor’s meeting this week, as most people around the county dM. The school question was to be settled. Well it was, with a tie vote from the supervisors so in they called the “POOR” tie breaker. For him it was this if you do, and this if you don’t. So after much bickerin’ and battin’ around, everybody settled down, and the tie was broken with t‘NO" it’s a bad time right now, there are so many things to consider, so the school question is again at a standstill, and we can go on from here with other unfinished business.

Things seem to be moving along just about the same in Rappahannock. Clean-up week is in full swing in Washington. Cards have been mailed out asking >everyone to vote for the most improved property. That sure will be hard to do, for I never did see the old town so dressed,up. As for me if will be hard to decide. Everyone •has gone into the clean-up program with so much vim and vigor.

~Mrs. Fannie Eastham and Mrs. Jim Massie both identified thcf .Mystery Farm last week at exactly 2 p.m. and each will receive a subscription to the News.

The farm was identified as Dolmont Farm, the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Ecker, containing 501, acres and located on Route 211 five miles east of Washington. The house was built by Mrs. Russell Woods father around 1890.

Mr. and Mrs. Ecker purchased the: farm from the Dolph family about five years age for a grazing farm.

Mr. and Mrs. Ecker have four chiK^-en, Johnny, Gail, Carol a and Donna.

Others correctly guessing the farm were Mrs. Virginia- Cloud, Mr. Waverly Frazier, Mrs. Daniel Jacobs, Mr. Roy C. Jenkins, Miss Edna Wharton, Miss Lucy Estes, Mrs. Rayner Snead, Mr. C. T. Bruce, Mrs. Marilyn Bailey, Miss Mollie Smith, Mr. Roger Welch, and Miss Annie Cooksey.
