Jh Rappahannock there is more full ownership_ 83)% as compared to 71% statewide. This indicates our farmer^are better managers and therefore there are fewer mortgages and less tenancy. However during this 1950-55 period, there wa$ a 3% decline in full owership/in both the county and state, y ^Orthe 583 farms in Rappahannock in 1955 but 241 were classed as “commercial farms”. Our farms in 1955 grossed, $2,060,433 in vallue of farm products sold.
