Due recognition was given the 20 millionth Ford vehicle, a Model A town sedan produced in 1931. With World. War II delaying things for a number of years, the ,40 millionth unit was not produced until 1953, the company’s golden anniversary year.
Until 1922, when Henry Ford purchased, the Lincoln Motor Company, he manufactured only Ford passenger cars and trucks. Mercury was added to the line in 1938 and Edsel in 1957.
