CONGRESSMAN REPORTS Continued from page two ture threat to beef carc.iss grading, the Virginia Beef Cattle Association has joined sheepmen in protesting the discontinuance^ of lamb carcass grading, calling: it a move which would “slow the improvement of Virginia lamb quality”— already at a high level.
I have placed these mounting objections before Secretary of Agriculture Benson and have asked again that his department consider carefully the adverse effects on our lamb industry of an abandonment of federal grading. As this was written, the matter still; was under study in the department.
