Man is puzzled by his own uneasy feelings as he watches this pageant of his mind. He is catching glimpses of this Jesus mysterious personality that seems to reflect Man's own character, a very displeasing character. ■ Pondering, Man studies the robe Jesus of Nazareth wears. The robe pure white, is pulsating with a living power and strength. A wo* man knows this'miracle. She touched the border of His garment and was transformed! “Daughter, be of good comfort, thy faith hath made thee whole; go inf peace.”
The robe changes to a magnificent crimson. It is spat upon; mocked, and now soldiers rip it from Him and laughingly cast lots for the robe.
Man swallows Hard and, remembering how Jesus’s head was *t first encircled by a crown of light, notices that a crown of thorns, glistening with drops of blood, pierces his brow.
Man gasps and turns from the window to survey the warmth of the room he is in, the crackling fire in the fireplace, the Christmas tree, the mistletoe above the door.
Man’s thoughts come jumbled and swift. “Lest I forget how, on Christmas Day, One was born im a humble stable, sweet with fresh smelling hay—One who felt even then, the urgency of His duty to me!
