What Is The Reason?
Why has there been so many accidents at Massie’s Corner, the intersection of Routes 211 and 522? The last two occurred within; eight day of each other.
Wednesday night enroute home from work, as we approached this intersection, a south bound tractor-trailer coming from Front Royal direction failed completely JLe—heed the Stop sign. Fortunately we managed to keep out of his way. • „ Vj
Again Saturday night threffpersons died as a result of an accident at this comer.
Why? Are the highway markings inadequate? Should there be additional road markings or a light? Or, does the fauilt lie with the individual drivers. I think the situation bears investigation.
