Win Over Warrenton
Both boys and girls basketball teams of R.C.H.S. were victorious over the Warrenton squads Saturday night, February 20 oni the Rappahannock court..
The Panthers took the lead in the first quarter «and maintained it throughout the game. Jonas Jenkins blossomed, Saturday night to be high man with 13 points to his credit. The final score was S6- SO in favor of Rappahannock.
In the first quarter of the girls game the score Was tied up 8-8 and at the half Warrenton was leading 19-16. The Pantherettes pulled ahead in the third, scoring 14 points to Warrenton’s 2. The final score was 41-31 favoring Rappahannock. Jean Lillard was high scorer with 17 points.
The Rappahannock boys are out of league competition, but the girls squad is in fourth place and will meet George Mason, at Falls Church Thursday (tonight) for the first of the tournament games.
