Miss Barbara Lynn Brown, daughter of Mrs. Henrietta Brown of The Plains and the late Lynwood Brown, became the bride of Jackie Geiw Gilbert, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Gilbert, Sr. formerly of Flint Hill, on Saturday afternoon, January 30, at the Marshall Baptist Church.

The Revj Clyde Finley performed the double ring ceremony before an altar decorated with white gladioli. Mrs. Clyde Finley played the wedding music. The bride, given in marriage by her brother, James Delaney Brown wore a street length dress of winter white wool with matching accessories. Her corsage was of white camellias.

Leroy Lawrence was Mr. Gilbert’s best man.

Mrs. Gilbert is a graduate of Marshall High School and is employed by the Marshall National Bank. Mr. Gilbert, a graduate of Rappahannock High School is with Home Beneficial Life Insurance Company. Mr. and M1"*- Gilbert are making their horrie in Marshall.
