On Route 522 a half mile east of Sperrvville, Saturday August 20, Elizabeth Deets of Charlottesville, driving a 1959 Pontiac, pulled onto the highway from Route 231 into the path of a I960 Plymouth sedan owned and operated by James William Gilliam of Wierton, W. Va., a teacher at Carver High School. The resulting damage was sfimated at $300. No injuries were sustained.
Wet pavement was the apparent cause of an accident bn Route 211 a mile north of Sperrvville on the evening of August 20 at 6:15 when a 1959 Ford station wagon owned and operated by Thomas Baily Morris of Narragansett, R. I. was struck by a 1955 Plymouth sedan owned arod operated by Loretta Virginia Meade of Alexandria. The Meade car skidded into the front of the Morris vehicle causing approximately $1,600
