Frances Morris received lacerations of the head, face and knee. Thomas Morris had a slight face injury and internal injuries. Mrs. Meade was treated for head, face and internal injuries. Victims of the accident were taken to Warren Memorial Hospital by Flint Hill and Washington Rescue Squads.

Sunday, August 21 at 6:10 p.m. at Viewtown, a 1953 Ford sedan owned and operated by Eulis Settlr of Viewtown and a 1956 Plymouth sedan owned and operated by James Mathew Settle of Estes and Falls Church, met on a sharp turn on the narrow road. The James Settle car went over to the left of the center of the road, striking the Eulis Settle car. $400 in damage was done to the vehicles.

John B. Settle, a passenger in the James Settle car had a deep cut on his face.
