Dear Folks
Another Tuesday; another hot day. and we could use a little rain.
The Bargers spent the weekend at The Maples and you can believe me they certainly should have a pretty lawn. They spend the whole weekend cutting and taking care of the yard.
Emily has been snooping on her new neighbors.
In Western Auto in Culpeper yesterday, Mr. Scearce really fixed me—he had a tape recorder on his desk, and as ufual, 1 was “yaking away”. Wasn't long before I came right back at myself. You *• surely do have to be careful what you say these days!!
Never in my life have 1 seen such a large gourd as I saw growing in the yard of Mr. and Mrs. A. (i. Mosely. It is about a yard long now, ajui still growing. Saw lots of people from far and wide at Guy’s sale Saturday. Arthur and I went oj.it for just a few minutes. Will someone please inform us who bought the house and land??? Have called and called, but can’t find out a blessed thing. Two more good sales coming up scam—Revercombs and Johnsons. Watch your “News.” We have heard some inkling as to what the "Old Mill” will be used for, but we aren’t sure that it is correct.
