Wednesday, the Sperryville Fire Company answered a call to the farm of R. L. Payne at Boston where a tractor was on fire and an acre of land was burned over.
Washington Rescue Squad answered a call to a wreck Saturday night near Sperryville and carried two victims of the accident to Warren Memorial Hospital. The Flint Hill Squad also answ'ered the alarm and took four people who were in the accident to Warren Memorial Hospital,
The Washington Fire Company was called Thursday evening, August 18th to the home of D. D. Miller where Mr. Miller’s car, a 1955 Chevrolet was completely destroyed by fire. It is believed the fire started from a short. The fire company also answered a call to Payne’s Garage Saturday, August 20 when Thurman Wharton’s car was afire. Slight damage resulted.
The Washington Rescue Squad brought Larry Gossom home from Warren Memorial Hospital August 17.
