Five other collisions have' occurred on Rappahannock, highways since Thursday, with nearly three thousand dollars in property damage but no serious personal injury. Thursday, October 20 at 3:30 a.m. on Route 522 one mile north of Flint Hill a 1956 Ford sedan owned and operated “bv Clarence J. T. Patterson of Front Royal, which was parked on the roadside was struck by a 1955 Pylmouth sedan driver, bv hred Arthur Morgan and owned by his father. Mack Morgan. The Morgan vehicle skidded into the Patterson car when the drvier applied his brakes quickly on the wet pavement.
About $600 damage was done to the automobiles, but no personal injury resulted.
At 6:15 p.tn. of the same day, on Route 211 two miles east of Washington a 1960 Volkswagen owned and operated by Frank Daniel Brady of Flint Hill was side swiped by a 1954 Buick driven by William Franklin Foster of Luray. The vehicles met on the, crest of a hill and the FPter car was over the center of the road. Damage was estimated at $890 to $900 by Trooper W. A. Bwitin.
On the 23rd of (October, 10:45 a.m., three miles west of Washington on Route 211 a 1959 Chevrolet sedan owned and operated by Thomas Paniculangara Peter of Washington, D. C., which was passing several cars and extended onto a solid line in doing so, struck a 1957 Chevrolet driven by Ann Soboloff Payne of Culpeper and owned by John Franklin Payne of the same address. The Payne car skidded on the wet highway when Mrs. Payne applied the brakes. Approximately $1100 in property damage resulted. Mr. Payne received a cut on his head and bruises. Trooper Buntin also investigated this accident.
