Auto Accident
N’ovember 28 at 6:45 a.m. on Route 211 about a mile west of Sperryville, a 1953 Chevrolet sedan owned by William R. Brown of Stevensburg, which was being used by William R. Brown. Jr., was parked on the shoulder of the highway and Brown was asleep on the front seat of the, automobile. A 1954 Ford sedan owned and operated by Chestean Fletcher of Amherst, traveling west on 211 went across the east bound lane and struck the Brown vehicle in the left front.
Fletcher received a bruised chest and Robert Umbarger, a passenger in tthe Fletcher car, was cut in the mouth and had a sprained knee. Brown received cuts of the face and! head. About $500 property damage resulted.
