Each contestant judged 3 classes of cattle (Hereford heifers, Angus heifers and and Shorthorn steers) giving reasons on Angus and Shorthorn classes; 2 classes of sheep (Hampshire ewes and Southdown market Iambs) the latter being a reason class; 3 classes of market hogs (Berkshires, Poland China and 'Hampshires) giving reasons' on Hampshires. 4
