Rapp’k Rescue Squad
Holds Meeting
The Rappahannock Rescue Squadvmef January 2 at the fire house with thirteen members pres^ ent and Capt. Frank Huff presiding. After the reading and approval of minutes, a report was given on the last dance sponsored by the squad and held at Sperryville. Proceeds from the dance and the quilt given away were $522.50 net.
The new ambulance arrived on December 17 and volunteers immediately installed the emergency equipment which consists of necessary first aid supplies to meet any emergency. The first service call was December 26.
A carnival sponsored by theRescue Squad was discussed and Capt. Huff has contacted an amusement company and made at-' arrangements for six rides for a carnival on June 15, 16, 17.
Plans were made for a house to house drive for funds to be applied on the new ambulance.
Insurance covering the ambulance was explained. The insurance covers the vehicle; any damage done by the ambulance, the patients and all qualified squad members. No one is permitted tp go on service calls unless they are qualified members of the squad.
Operation of the equipment on the ambulance was explained to the members before the meeting adjourned.
