After the first 9 months of this period have pa^d, a decision will be made as to whether the work done by the beneficiary in those 9 months shows that he has regained his ability to work. If he is found able to engage in substantial work, and therefore is no longer disabled within the meaning of the law, he will still be paid his benefits for three months longer. After this, his benefits stop. ' Miss Schaffner pointed out that disabled workers who go to work are required to notify the Social Security Administration. This niay be done by writing a letter or sending a special post card form which ! may be obtained from the social security office.
