At a meeting of the Board of Supervisorsof Rappahannock County, held on April 7,1S48, and of record in Minute Book No. 5, Page 116, die following oildinance was unanimously approved and adopted: WHEREAS, the Boardof Supervisors, pursuant to Section 58766 of the Code of Virginia as amended, is authorized and empowered to require every jperson, firm or corporation, before commencing the construction,! repair *-or improvement of any building or structure located within thjt county, to obtain from the Commissioner of Revenue of such county a permit in writing. * j

BE IT RESOLVED, Therefore. thar pursuant to said (Section 58-766 of the Code, every jpereon, firm or corporation shalljbe re* quired to obtain from the sioner of the Revenue of the ty a written permit beforj mencing the construction, improvement of any build structure located within th ty. Any person, firm or cor violating this ordinance fined not exceeding twei^tyr>fjve dollars, ($25.00). It is (Further ordered that no fee shyll be charged fey said Commissioner for

the issuance of said permits^ However* no permit shall be required for construction of any biitding, the total cost of which is lets than $500.00. ■ " •
