C. M. M. Green, a prominent lumberman artd farmer, of Amissvillc died suddenly about six o’ clock Wednesday evening, at his home.

Baptist Churches
Hold Picnic
Washington and'Flint Hill Baptist Churches held a joint picnic on Father’s Day following the morning service at the Flint Hill church. There was a delicious and bountiful supply of food as everyone had brought a covered dish or their own personal food specialty.
There were about seventy people and the youth choir present to enjoy the fellowship of the occasion.
After the picnic, games of kick ball, baseball and horseshoes were enjoyed by some while others renewed old acquaintances.
Ollie Fincham and John Turner won a hotly contested game of horseshoes against Judge R. V. Snead and the Rev. Warren Wilbur.
Eittle Miss Mary Elizabeth Snead added excitement to the day by stepping in a pie.
The weather was perfect and the weather committee for the occasion was congratulated on having the necessary influence in the right placbs.
