Feeder Calf Producers. Bred heifers is one of the biggest, if not the biggest problem confronting your Feeder Calf Sales. Bred heifers are costly to the consignors, cause buyers to be dissatisfied, and hurt the prestige of your sales.
One sale in this area has raised their heifer guarantee from a 20% refund to 331/3% in an effort to make producers more attractive to management practices. Separate cows with five month old heifer calves from the herd sires.
Nominations for the Feeder Pig Sale are due by JUNE 27th’. Vaccinations must be completed by July 5th. Entry forms and regulations are available at your county agent’s office.

Wayne Payne of Boston spent the weekend with his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Hudson and attended the carnival.
