The television set was awarded Floyd Hitt of Amissville and Paul Miller of Flint Hill was given the Savings Bond.

The squad members wish to express their appreciation for the generous donations of food, the wonderful help from this community and surrounding ones, and the good attendance and support of all who helped make the event a success.
On the house to house canvas which the Rescue Squad held this spring a total of $772.67 was realized.

Missionary Meeting
The Annual Meeting of the Woman’s Missionary Union of Shiloh Association will be held at Amissville Baptist Church i n Amissville on Thursday, June 29 at 10:30 a.m. (EST) ’
Guest speaker will be Miss Irene Chambers. Miss Russell Colvin, Association Superintendent, will preside. Lunch will be provided by Woman’s Missionary Societies of the Sue Slaughter Group.

Cornell University
Noel Laing, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Laing, Bunree Farm, Amissville, Va., was graduated from Cornell University, Ithica, New York on Monday, June 12. He received a Bachelor of Science degree.
Mr. Laing will spend the summer managing the farm and in the fall will enter Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Blacksburg, Va.
