A great many people of Rappahannock, interested in getting an industry in the county, met Monday everting at the county high school to discuss with officials of the Aileen Corp., the possibility of establishing a plant here. Mr. Charles Adlis and Mr. J. O. Marsh, Jr. were company spokesmen.

(X Marsh, attorney for the company, ‘ if Rappahannock wants them.” He explained that growth of the company and expansion of their line of merchandise warrants immediate construction of a plant for sewing, trimming, inspecting and boxing. Garments arc cut at the Plant in Woodstock and sent to the other plants to be made. Beside the Woodstock factory, Aileen has establishments in Strasburg, New Market and Culpeper. About 31 Wimm f*pm Rappahannock arc now employed at the Culpeper plant and others at Strasburg. According to Mr. Marsh, the building and equipment will cost $160,000. The company will invest $80,000; $40,000 would be institutional financing with a hretd«d of trust; the remaining $40,000 would be raised by local subscriptions and carry a second deed or trust. Individuals invetuig money will receive notes for their investments which pay 5% interest an will be retired in ten years.
