AT LONG LAST
After two years of eager anticipation Rappahannock seems to be nearing a long sought goal, that of getting a desirable industry to locate in the county. A manufacturer of women’s apparel is entensely interested in coming here— f we in Rappahannock want them. An industry will help the economy of our county by bringing in additional revenue It will employ mostly women therefore it will not hurt farm labor. It will offer jobs to many who have had to leave the county to secure work. Perhaps it will help to hold some of our decreasing population.
They want us and I am sure a majority in Rappahannock want them. There is no doubt that we need them.
