Town Mayor Will Not
Seek Re-election
According to a statement made Tuesday by Mrs. Wallace Critter, she will not be a candidate for re.election to the office of Mayor of the Town of Washington, Va. kt the forthcoming election to be held June 12, 1962. She stated that if votes were cast for her she would not accept the position. Mrs. Cntzer has been Mayor of the town since 1958, serving two terms ot two years each. Mrs. J. W. Critzer, who has served on the Town Council since the petticoat government came into effect, also states she is not a candidate for re-election and could not accept a seat on die Council. Anyone interested m filing for Mayor or a seat on the Onmcil must file at the of fice of the Rappahannock County Clerk, Washington, Va. before Apnl 12 in order to have their name on ttie ballot.
