spective schools, Lynchburg College and the University of Virginia on Sunday after spending the Thanksgiving holiday with their mother Mrs. L. J. Turner. George E. Davis, III accompanied Miss Turner to Charlottesville.

George Davis, III, had the misfortune to splinter a bone in his ankle while playing touch football on Wednesday, which will necessitate being on crutches for several weeks.

Miss Diana Carr arrived Friday from St. Margaret’s School and spent the week end with her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Dabney Carr.

Among those attending the VPI-VMI traditional Thanksgiving Dhy football game in Roanoke were Mr. and Mrs. -Ti C. Lea, Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. J. Newbill Miller.

Mrs. Downing Wood^ had as guests for Thanksgiving Day Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Bowie of Culpeper, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miller and son, Louis, and Mrs. Grace Reid. Miss Frances Wood returned to Staunton on Sunday accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Downing Wood and Joe D. Keyser.

Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Baumgardner and family and Mr. and Mrs. Hal Forward spent the holiday weekend at their homes here. Thanksgiving Day Mr. Forward and sons Mike and Jim and Mr. Baumgardner and sons Doug and Johnny climbed The Peak (almost) before returning home for a hearty holiday dinner.

Mr. and Mrs. Sigwald Andersen and son, Paul, of Port Washington, New York, and Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Keyser, Jr., of Williamsburg, spent the Thanksgiving weekend with Mrs. R. L. Cheatham at Mountain Green.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Keyser, Jr., and son, Scott of Fairfax, and Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Keyser were Thanksgiving day dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Keyser and Uoe Keyser at Pleasant View.

Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Johnston at their home, Boxwood Garden, on Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hall, Philip Kuhn, Mrs. Virginia Kuhn, Clayburn Kuhn, of Fort
