Elizabeth P. Snead
Miss Elizabeth Pollard Snead, 88, Government employee in Washington, D. C. until her retirement some years ago died Tuesday, Feb ruary 16, 1965\at a Palmyra nursing home, she was born in Fork ynion, daughter of the late John Peyton Snead and Sallie Ford Snead of Fork Union. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Washington, D. C. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Walker Whitaker of Washington, D. C. and five nieces and nephews among whom are Dr. John P. Snead, III and Mrs. John Ruskin of Sperryville and Judge Rayner V. Snead of Washington. A funeral service will be held to-day, February 18 at the Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville, at 2 p. m. conducted by the Rev. Clyde F. Melton with interment in Sperryville Cemetery. The Clore Funeral Home has( charge of arrangements.
Dicey H. Atkina
Dicey Helen Atkins, 6b, of Sperryville died at her home Thursday, Feb. 1 1, 1965. She was a native of Rappahannock County, daughter of the late Coley S. Atkins and Sarah Frances Atkins. She is survived by three brothers, Ebb Menefee y\tkins, Kinsey Jefferson Atkins and Limon Bray Atkins, all of Sperryville. A funeral service was heldi Sunday at 2 p.m. at Beech Spring Regular Baptist Church of which Miss Atkins was a member, conducted by Elder Wayne Richards.
