Troop 65 Holds
Court of Honor
Sperryville Boy Scout Troop 65 observed Scout Week with a ham dinner and Court Baptist Church on Thursday, February 11. Surprise honors of the evening were the miniature Eagle pins awarded Mrs. Lucio Kilby by her son, Eagle Scout Tim Kilby aifd to Mrs. B. Gale Titchenell by Eagle Scout sons, Leslie and Michael. Tim Les-lie and Michael also received the Bronze Palm for their Eagle awards. Other awards were presented by Scoutmaster Donald Gore as follows; Life Scout went to C. E. Dodson and Roy Reeve, George Woodard received his Star Scout rank, First Class was awarded Roy Thomas .and Tenderfoot badges went to Maury Nichol§ Bill Kilby, Timothy Raymond, and Charles Thomas. All awards except one were pinned on by a parent who was present.
Other Scouts present but not quite ready for awards were Terry Raymond, David Nichols and Jimmy Orange, making 100% for membership attendance. Slides on Scouting, Camp Rock Enon and Philmont were shown by District Scout Executive Ned France to a most attentive audience including the following, not already named; Institutional Representative Mr. Raymond Johnson and Mr§, Johnson. Committee Chairman B. Gale Titchenell, Bobby and Sue Titchenell, Committeeman Mr. Roy Reeve and Mrs. Reeve, Committeeman L. J. Kilby and Terry Kilby, Mrs. Donald Gore, Mr. and Mrs. I. R. Kilby and Mary Moore, Mr. and Mrs. Nea Woodard, Mr. and Mrs. Sears Raymond, Mr. Burton Orange, Mr. Roy Thomas, and Mr. Charles B. Dodson.
