The Valentine Party Friday night was a huge success! There were many students attending - more than ever before. Everyone had a wonderful time. The Queen, Linda Beahm, was crowned at 9:30. The “runners-up were Eleanor Rector, 1st; and Shirley Dodson, 2nd. The Senior play books have arrived and have been given out. “The Custers’Last Stand” is sure to be a hit. If you see Seniors walking around muml> ling words don't get shook - we’re only studying our lines. Our myste ry guest this week: He is President of the Junior Class, on the basketball team, very nice looking, has brown hair and blue eyes. 1 hear you have good times at the bowling alley - Right? Rappahannock Panthers played Warren Co. High Monday night. Both the Varsity and J.V. teams lost. Thomas Atkins and Danny Lillard were high scorers. Friday night marks the last game of the season. Come on, let’s make Stonewall Jackson bow!! Did you know that? New ironware should be greased with mutton tallow and heated very slowly and then washed thoroughly to temper before actual cooking purposes. (Home Ec. Dept.) To catch wild ducks or geese alive, soak wheat in strong alccthol and scatter whe rc they are in the habit of feeding. Catch the ducks while they are drunk. (Voc. Agr. Dept.)
U*e Suggested For Old Christmas Cards
The Women of Trinity Church of Bromfield Parish have been sent the name of a mission in Seoul, Korea where used Christmas cards could help with their work, by the Church Periodical Club of the Diocese. The cards can be sent as old printed matter of an educational nature at a reduced postal rate. Please bring the cards to church, the Garden Club or to my home and I will send them on. Thank You.
