Feeder Cattle Sale
According to a hurried re-1 port from Extension Agent W. I H. Lyne, the following are the results of the 28th annual feed! er cattle sale held Tuesday : in Front Royal: Fancy steers, $33.41 cwt, $166.65 hd; choice | steers, $32.09cwt, $l54.90hd; ! good steers, $31.17 cwt. $148.! 03 hd; medium steers, $27.63 icwt. $124.58 hd.
Average of all steers was ■$31.36 cwt, $149.50 hd. The top individual in the sale was I a fancy steer consigned by , Ray T. Cannon of Castleton [which brought $41.00. The top pen of calves was a group of : 40 good steers which brought [$34.75. Fancy heifers were $27.05 j cwt, $124.11 hd; choice hei- ! fers $25.70 cwt, $115.33 hd; good heifers $24.55 cwt, $10^ 15 hd; medium heifers $22.77 , ipwt. $94.10 hd. Average of all fteifers was $24.64 cwt. $106; 48 hd. I Number of steers consigned : [was 725 and heifers numbered [479. Yearlings brought $25.09 cwt, $169.07 hd and calves were $28.84 cwt or $132.39 hd.
