Letter to Editor Dear Sir: Regarding the recent decision of the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County to approve the establishment of an A.B.C. store in Washington, we the members of the Amissville Baptist Church publicly reaffirm our commitment to that section in our church covenant which pertains to this issue: “We engage.,.to abstain from the sale and use of intoxicating drinks as a beverage, and to be zealous in our effortsj to advance the kingdom of our| Saviour..." On this we stand, and, furthermore, we invite all other Southern Baptists as well as. other Christians in the county to stand with us. Adopted unanimously Sunday morning October 15, 1967 by the Congregation of Amissville Baptist Church.
