Amissville HD Club
Has Xmas Party
The Amissville Homemakers’ Club held a buffet and Christmas party Monday evening instead of the regular December meeting with 27 attending. Table decorations and entertainment was all of a Christmas theme. Holly and pine corsages were given everyone and were made by Mr and Mrs. Herman Terhune. Mrs. S. W. Riley was in charge of decorations which included candles, pine and holly and a small lighted tree. Favors were at each place on the table and were made by Mrs. Terhune, Mrs. Gilbert Lawrence and Mrs. Gay Perkins. Entertainment was a musical program with trio and group singing by Mrs. Robert Settle, Mrs. Mary Priest and Mrs. Stanley Settle. A record ing was made of this and of each person attending and played back to the group. Gifts were exchanged. The Amissville Club was named the outstanding club of the county at a recent achieve ment night program. Members of this club cited for perfect attendance were Mrs. S. W. Riley, Mrs. Mason Hitt and Mrs. Alice Lawrence. Those who had missed only one meet ing were Mrs. Mary Priest and Mrs. F. L. Bowey.
