Sale value per acre does not increase earning power of the farm; will have influence on availability of credit. Will this increase in sale value influence; the tax base resulting in high- ; er total taxes even though the tax rate may not change? Does this rapid change demand a change in Virginia’s tax structure and laws governing taxation on real property?

We hear talk and read articles about such changes called something like differential taxation; or is it preferential taxation? Anyway it is an approach to taxation based upon land use which may increase speculative buying. Believe the farm bureau is working on this.
