S. 211 in Rap-j pahannock County for 4.19 miles of dividing with about! half parallel construction and ! the remainder four new lanes, j from the divided highway east) of Massies Corner, east. S. T. j Wooten.Construction Co., Inc. of Stantonsburg, N. C. was awarded the contract for $2,118,281. Other contracts let included construction in Fairfax,; Prince William, Washington, Dinwiddie, Nottoway, Bedford Greene and Roanoke Counties, and the citifes of Harrisonburg, Norfolk and Hampton. The State's 1968 highway construction program will start off with January bids on 16 projects expected to total more than $18 million. The Highway Department has requested bids for opening on January 24. None of these projects, however, concern this immediate area.
