Mrs. r. Downing Wood spent from Thursday until Saturday in Staunton where she attended the Accreditation ceremonies at V.S.D.B. and the banquet given by the Board of Visitors Thursday night. Speakers for the occasion were Gov. Mills Godwin, Dr. Robert Frisina, President of the National Tech-Institute for the Deaf at Rochester, N. Y. and Dr. E. C. Merrill, Jr., President of Gallaudet College in Washington, D. C. Miss Frances Wood was one of the accredited students.
Mrs. Allie Huff spent Monday in Falls Church and Arlington. She was accompanied by her sister Mrs. Frank Jenkins of Fairfax. Mrs. David Hobbs and children Cindy and Kevin of Warrenton were visitors in the Huff home on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Huff of Flint Hill were Monday night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Nicholson.
Stewart Palmer spent the week-end with his parents Mr and Mrs. C. B. Palmer and returned Wednesday from Blue Ridge Community College for the Christmas holiday.
