1 am not one to make a habit of writing letters to express my opinion because of my husband’s position, 1 feel that it is usually better to be diplomatic in expressing my feelings. But, it has reached the place when 1 even find myself somewhat em-, barrassed by the happenings and results of a Valentine dance sponsored by the county Jaycee organization.
The treatment that was given a serviceman, a decorated Vietnam veteran who was visiting in the county on a weekend pass, and had attended the dance because he had been told there would be at least two unescorted ladies present, was enough to embarrass the whole county.
Finding, when he arrived at the dance, that the ladies had not come, he proceeded to enjoy himself by dancing with a few he had met. When the dance was nearly over some of the men proceeded to tell him to leave because he was not properly dressed. End result — a fight with
