Wrecks investigated
A SINGLE CAR CRASH occurred February 18 ort? Route 211 at Redeviva, west of Washington. Accord-' ing to Trooper R. A. Baines, Joseph Lynch of Washington, D. C. was the operator of the 1969 Karman Ghia which ran off of the highway, skidded, struck the bridge rail and hit a tree.
Lynch sustained a broken left clavicle and Thomas DeLamater, also of D.C., a passenger, received multiple contusions. Damage to the vehicle was set at $1,200.
Sunday at noon, two vehicles collided on the icy road a mile north of Washington on ROute 628, the Fodderstack Road. James R. Settle of Washington in a ‘70 Plymouth skidded on an icy curve and struck a ‘70 Plymouth operated by Anne Jenkins Clatterbuck of Culpeper, according to Trooper W. A. Buntin. Damage to each vehicle was estimated at $250. There were no injuries nor charges. □
