Trail ride rescheduled
THE NEW COUNTY TRAIL CLUB, Trail Riders of Rappahannock, had their first ride rained out last Sunday but have rescheduled their initial ride for this Sunday, August 6, at 5:30.
Everyone is invited to participate in the three hour evening ride — twisting through a green forest down bush-hogged paths, trekking along the Jordan riverbank, then heading west into a sunset meadow.
Directions: Take 522 through Flint Hill towards ’ Front Royal and proceed north for about two miles crossing Hittle’s Mill Stream. Look for Foster Brother’s Packing House on your left, and Route 637 will be the next right. Turn onto 637 (there will be a sign) and proceed another two miles to the starting point. Signs will be posted down Route 637 also.
