Club meets
THE JULY meeting of Amissville Ruritan Club was called to order by W. H. Lyne, vice president, who requested the group join in silent prayer for the deceased president and faithful friend, Ted Settle. Mr. Settle succumbed of injuries in a traffic crash recently.
Committees were called upon for reports and the public barbecue held July 15 was declared a great success.
The membership committee reported two new members joining the club4 who are Troy Baker and Roger Cordani.
The Amissville Homemakers Club served the dinner prior to the business meeting which was followed by guest speaker Claude Guinn of Culpeper. He spoke on the Markings of the American Dollar Bill.
