A combination birthday and farewell party was held Saturday night at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Carroll Quaintance near Sperryville.
It was Dr. Quaintance’s birthday and a farewell to Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Maeyer who will return to Carlsbad, Germany this week after visiting for six weeks with their son and daughter-in-law, Capt. and Mrs. Ulrich Maeyer and daughters, Nicole and Heidi in Arlington and also with Dr. and Mrs. Quaintance.
Others present were Mrs. H. B. Wood, Sr., and Mrs. H. B. Wood, Jr. and son. Henry B. of Woodville and Mrs. Mary Quaintance.
