Mr. L.awson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Williams Lawson; four sons, Carroll Jr., Harold, Darold and John Hansborouth Lawson, and a daughter, Tibertha Bernett Lawson, two brothers and four sisters. □
John Lamb
John Lamb, who for 25 years has taken clothes, food, books and encouragement to people in Appalachia in his personal war on poverty, died Saturday, July 29 at his home in Washington, D. C. He was 81.
Mr. Lamb was called “Mr. John” by most of the 600 families he aided in Appalachia. His motivation for his work there was to help people to help themselves.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Clevengers and two sons John E. and Norman G. Lamb and 12 grandchildren.
