Miss Moffett

Miss Jean Carter Moffett, daughter of Judge and Mrs. W. F. Moffett of Washington received a Bachelor of Arts degree with Distinction in Political Science at Commencement exercises Saturday, May 19, at Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg.
During her four years at MWC, Miss Moffett was named to the academic Honoraries of Alpha Phi Sigma and Pi Gamma Mu. As a senior, she was a member of Mortar Board and selected for recognition in “Who’s Who inAmerican Colleges and Universities.”
At special ceremonies held Friday night, Miss Moffett was received info the membership of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest and most prestigious scholastic honor fraternity.
Miss Moffett was a 1969 graduate of Rappahannock County High School.
