Postal retirees
The autumn meeting of the postal retirees was held at Graves Mountain Lodge Thursday, October 11. There were 71 members and guests, some from D.C. some from various points of Maryland and Virginia, the major protion from Virginia.
The Rev. John McKay gave the invocation. After the meal and singing “Blest Be the Tie that Binds,” the Rev. Ronald Wiley pronounced the benediction.
BRIDAL LUNCHEON
Mrs. Ruth Corbitt was hostess for a luncheon Saturday honoring Miss Debbie Poe whose marriage to Eddie Flock will take place October 19. Others present "were Miss Poe’s mother, Mrs. Ronnie Poe and her grandmother, Mrs. John Poe; Mr. Flock’s mother, Mrs. Paul Suter and her grandmother, Mrs. Russell Hackley, all of Amissville. A gift of silver was presented the bride-elect by the hostess.□
