William I. Kilby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin R. Kilby of Sperryville, received the Virginia Chapter Daughters of Founders and Patriots of America Award for outstanding performance and achievement as a member of the Naval Reserve Officer Training Unit at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Kilby is a midshipman in the unit and, upon graduation, will be commissioned an officer in the Navy.D
