Northern Virginia Community College offers many classes designed to help busy professionals.
Among the offerings:
* Land survey certificate. This curriculum is designed to prepare students to work with engineering companies under the direction of licensed surveyors. It was put together at the request of a large engineering firm in Northern Virginia to respond to the needs of similar firms who are experiencing a shortage of trained workers.
* Orthodontic assistant certificate. There are many orthodontic dental offices within our area who need employees familiar with dental terminology, dental procedures and OSHA rulings. This certificate prepares students for the specialized environment of the orthodontics office.
* Medical office administration.
