If you answered yes to these questions then apply as an Emergency Communications Specialist with the WarTenton-Fauquier Joint Communications Center. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED; supplemented by'college level course work or vocational training in public safety dispatching or radio communications preferred, one (1) year previous experience and/or training involving public safety dispatching or radio communications desired; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must type 35 WPM. Must successfully pass computerized entrance exam with an 80% or higher. Must successfully complete criminal history background investigation, including fingerpnnting, and polygraph.
